After the hugely successful Spider-Man 2, everyone had high expectations for part 3. Unfortunately, those expectations were not met. Instead we got a movie over-stuffed with villains, cheesy dialogue and Peter Parker dancing in the street. Spider-Man 3 should have been great but instead it was a sad ending to Sam Raimi's trilogy.

Todd McFarlane was a big name in comics. In 1992 he created his original character Spawn and unleashed him upon the world. A murdered CIA operative who makes a deal with the devil, Al Simmons is transformed into a supernatural "hell-spawn" who decides to break his deal and fight for justice.
Or something like that. The guys discuss Spawn and then talk about recent movie trailers and news. www.cinemaheroes.com Facebook.com/smandsmpodcast Twitter: @CinemaHeroes |

After the hugely successful films of Phase One, Marvel decided to take a chance on a group of intergalactic heroes known as the Guardians of the Galaxy. Had you ever heard of the Guardians, because John and Justin sure hadn't. It was a bit of a gamble on Marvel's part. This movie could have been a big flop but went on to be a huge success.

On January 14, the world lost a very talented actor. Known for his iconic roles as the villain Hans Gruber, the Sheriff of Nottingham and, of course, Severus Snape, the late great British actor brought a humanity and depth to the roles he took on. He has too many movies to talk about for just one podcast so we decided to tackle two of his biggest. (We'll save Severus Snape for future episodes).
So join the guys as they discuss Die Hard and Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves and remember the legendary actor Alan Rickman.
